On the Eve of our Independence day!

We have come a long way since our independence and things have 'changed'. Change has come, really! However, some for the good and some for the worse. I agree that we are developing but the rate is such that it cannot be felt by the overflowing population of our India. So, lets take a very quick view of some contrasting situations of our independent India.

We got few of the richest people of the world in India and we have on an average a very poverty stricken economy. We cannot by no means recognise the poverty with the city life we lead, its so miserable. We got a sign for our currency which is really good but the currency does not go to the people who really need it. Recently we saw a great revolution against corruption but it has not taken us anywhere till now. we can just hope that some time we really get what we want. We are a democratic country and we have 'fair' elections but after we elect these idiots to represent us what the hell they do God knows. Atleast whatever they do i do not need to know but they never represent the common people.

We have states where chief ministers like Sibu Soren, Mayavati, Lalu Prasad has ruled. how dare they become the chief minister when they themselves are some of the biggest criminals of this country. We have corrupted ministry, who are shameless and do not ever care of the Nation. They only know to think how to fill their pockets.

We saw our submarine defense system grow up, latest nuclear weapons are now used in India to keep us safe from the outside attacks but who will defend us from the inner violence. We have Maoists, we have 2G scam, we have CWG scam and much more to our credits. The flag will flutter high even tomorrow but Bharat Maa is crying in the core of her heart.

We got lots of industries, we got malls, we got latest cars and gadgets, we got national highways but still now there are some parts of India where there in not even a road worthy of the bullock cart. We have learnt to dream big but we do not know how to make it big. We cut down thousands of trees but the environment awareness get all its attention only in papers and never in real life so we can clearly see we have not learnt how to stay alive then how can we be independent? The game of vote prevails and to survive this India is divided in several pieces and driven against each other. Reservations has always created a rage but our Government never bothers. Still we consider women to be weaker than men. Even now a Bihari is less safe in Mumbai than a Maharashtrian. Even today child marriage prevails in many interior villages. Even today girls hesitate to walk alone in a dark street. Even today the farmers die of hunger and even today India has not got its true freedom. We are not independent because independence means freedom from fear and we have not come out of our fear till now. Hope someday we will truly be an Independent nation. Jai Bharat!.
