Pleasures of Winter

With this chilling winter making its presence felt, we are loving this experience too. I love winter and there are many things which make winter very special. Firstly and most importantly the afternoons of winter is the best part of the year for me. I love the winter afternoons and i think many would agree because its very comfortable, just unlike the summer afternoons. I see so many people leaving aside their noon naps sitting in the sun and getting comfortable.



Moreover winter means a comfortable sleep (although waking up in the morning is equally painful). The blankets are just so irresistible and the world seems so peaceful under the blanket. And what attracts me more towards winter is that we can wear so many clothes during this season. Moreover it is the season of picnics and outings. It is also the ideal time for some long tour. You are never out of energy in this season.

Winter also means a lot of beauty around, with so many gardens getting new life with all the winter flowers and vegetables. You seem to eat a lot during winter without much problem, although later it causes a lot of problem.



I do not know why but for me winter also seems like a season for mystery and horror films and stories just like  the rainy season. And Feluda, Gosainbaganer Bhoot quenched our thirst this season. And above all, it goes without saying that it is the celebration time with the Christmas and New Year arriving during this season. The whole globe seems to enjoy winter the most.

Winter is often called the old man but i think it is the beautiful middle aged lady who is an enchantress and may get tired at times  never puts a full stop.

Kazi Nazrul Islam's works have been acclaimed as well as criticized for egoism, but his admirers who supported him throughout his life, considered this as self-confidence more than ego.
