Revolution 2011

We have almost reached the end of yet another wonderful year, 2011. I started blogging this very year and so i feel this year is special for me. I felt so good writing down all my thoughts here for public viewing. However this year also saw a revolution around the world. There was so much revolt and this year will always be in news for that.

Firstly coming to Libya, it was the biggest horror event of the year.  The event was horrifying but it resulted in the fall of a dictator. The fall of Gaddafi will go down in history. Gaddafi died a brutal death, it was hugely cherished by the people of Libya. so, it was truly a revolution.

India saw a turmoil when Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi and Baba Ramdev stood against corruption. It saw large number of revolts around the country and even outside the country, among Indians. I do not know how much it helped the mass but one thing is for sure, it made the ministers and politicians aware that we Indians are not deaf and dumb and we very well know how to show them their real worth.

Egypt revolted against the regime of president Hosni Mubarak. the revolt started in January, 2011 and continued till November, when Mubarak had to resign, it again showed that public power is the ultimate power. It resulted in thousands of injuries but at last it was a success.

And the revolt at Wall street cannot be neglected, it is against the huge inequality ocurring in the society. It is taking place in New York and is hugely for public welfare, it is against the recession. The students are also taking part at large and this cry for economic democracy is still getting momentum.

So, This year was indeed memorable for the revolutions, there were more revolutions in every corner of the world so i am sorry if i missed out on some, but these four seemed to be the most prominent of all.
