Take the court's permission before falling in love or having sex

I was having such an eerie feeling ever since i read the news yesterday. The Supreme Court actually made fun of the largest 'democracy' of the world. What is democracy when you are actually taking away rights from some harmless people?

Yesterday the Supreme Court of India re-criminalised Homosexuality. I was feeling so bad to even write this post, to post about the fact that my country is actually getting regressive with time. When the Delhi High Court legalised relationship between consenting adults of same gender it was a celebration time across the nation. People from the LGBT community atlast got what they deserved and every sensible person was happy. Among so much of repressiveness and regressiveness prevailng in the society, it was like a silver lining.

The Land of Kamasutra - India celebrates sexuality in all forms and the Supreme Court decides upon the fact that homosexual relationship or intercourse is 'unnatural'! Moreover how a country which boasts about its human right actually do this to some significant number of its citizens?

What do i expect of the court when we still do not have any law against after-marital rape in our country. Hundreds of rapes are occurring and most of the guilties do not even serve a night in jail and on the contrary the maximum punishment against homosexuality is life-time in jail. Its so so laughable and sad.

The society has to accept it, has to love them and deal with them like equals, a person's sexual preference does not have any effect on the fact that how he/she is as a human being.

The Article 377 is actually more than 150 years old and was incorporated by the then British Government. We are still following it. And the best part is back in 1967 the British parliament amended the article and made homosexuality legal.

Moreover whosoever he/she is, no one has the right to decide who the person should love or have sex with. I want to make an appeal to everyone reading it, speak out! Save the country from shame. Because its so cruel to suddenly make some harmless people look criminals by the laws just because he/she does not like what most people do.

And on the other hand it has strengthened the people, now it is like - 'give it on their faces' and people are ready to fight once again for freedom. Law cannot suppress love. I just hope this regressive action does not closet the people who came out happily and safely with all their colours after the Delhi High Court judgement in 2009.

People will not sit back for long hopefully.

Moreover God has never been against love so its high time for the people to stop saying that homosexuality is against the will of God. and even if it is against the will of God then we should all salute the homosexuals because we can do nothing against God's will but they love and have sex against His wish.

Love is in the air... so why prohibit people from breathing in it!!
