The game of chauvinism

I have always maintained that my nation needs men and women who support feminism but situations come such that it drastically changes the outlook towards things and from time to time I find that its hard to be a man in a men's world where women are both feminist and always eager to take all the not so feminist advantages in the name of feminism.

Its just another incident that happened a few days back at a workplace where a few boys and girls had gone for training and it was their last day at the place, so everyone were to be marked by their respective mentors. And as the feedback came in, surprisingly (or not so surprisingly) a boy who had done his project seriously  was sitting all sad and on the other hand the girl who made a honeymoon out of her training period was all happy and rejoicing... why? Because she has scored full marks, and the boy scored lower than her, losing all faith in hard work. But, this is injustice... isn't it? Of course not! How dare the boy ask for more marks when he does not have the 'qualities' that she bears to attract both marks and attention towards her. So, that's also a type of woman empowerment that we often get to see. But, the men who gave the undeserving girl more marks, are they 'feminists' too? No, its a kind of chauvinism in disguise where the person of one gender wants to take certain advantages by giving certain 'favours' to the opposite gender. And in most cases same genders do not appeal or are capable enough to give 'favours', its always a game where opposite genders are taking and giving advantages by stamping on the heads of deserving people who believes in hard work above anything else.

Feminism has a power, a fire where getting advantages through wrong means and for all the wrong reasons do not fall anywhere. Feminists should know that woman empowerment has nothing to do with the fact of getting advantage for the wrong things, coming late and standing first because you are a girl has nothing to do with feminism or in fact has nothing to do with the fact that you are female. If you kick a boy hard in a friendly fight out of fun please be ready to get it back and do not complain after that because feminism and male chauvinism cannot be applicable according to the advantage of the situation, either its always applicable or never at all. When you are at work, use your strength of mind and body to work as much as the man at your post is working and then claim your rights because rights come with duties, not advantages. If you are paid as much as the man, give that much effort too, be brave enough to go up the stairs of progress through merit.

An old man standing in a crowded bus and a young lady sitting because it a ladies' seat does not give a very good image of feminism, rather if you stand up knowing that there are things above chauvinism then maybe the society will be a better place. Why bring in gender everywhere where we can do better without them? There are words like humanity, merit, values which makes more sense than any kind of gender based chauvinism because those words do not change meaning or definition with gender or situations.
