The vote of thought (Part 1) - How are they actually different?

Every other political party wants us to believe that they are 'different'. The ruling party wants us to believe that after ruling for 35 years they will do even better in the coming years and the oppositions are always ready with one word - 'change'. They want us to believe that if they come to power they would 'rock!' As if Kolkata will turn into London and Darjeeling into Switzerland!

RED or GREEN, it seems to be the same thing!
Recently i read some incidents in newspapers which i would like to share to highlight my topic!
A lady was taking her ailing old neighbour to the hospital, she was not getting any rickshaw, reason - a TMC meeting would be held there within an hour and so they had been asked to stay there to make the place more crowded! If they denied, everyone knows what awaits! So she could not take her to the hospital! And on top of that when the 'meeting' started, the blaring noise made her old neighbour even more ill! It doesn't stop here! The very next week this lady had some work and so she went to take a rickshaw but again this time they refused to go! Reason - CPI(M) was doing a meeting this time! So it was again their duty to attend the meeting, actually there was no choice! Such are our 'well wishers'!

Will a change of colour really help us, the common people of this state and country? Where one day the price of onion is rupees 8 a kilo and the next day rupees 50 a kilo, what 'change' will really happen to us? What change will come to the BPL people? Nothing!

Every minister and opposition leaders say use one word very frequenty - 'ekta' or unity! Cooperation brings in unity, but where is that cooperation? If every party wants the good of their countrymen then why do the opposition never support the government, even when it is right? Why Mamata Banerjee is always ready to find fault in everything the Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee led government does? Does not ever think if it is right or wrong!

The same is with our rulers, they are so engrossed in their good that they actually forget that they have been given the duty of seeing to the good of the people! And having got foothold for some time now, the opposition is showing their real self with all the corruptions and fights! Every other day we get to hear that a CPI(M) person has been killed or there is some fight between the TMC and CPI(M) people! And in this the people who lose their lives are commoners and mostly poor, nothing happens to the leaders who are making them fight!

Actually no change can come in colours, it has to come in the thoughts of every individual! In their inner self! Otherwise no 'change' is actually a change! Its just another eyewash!
