The Queen of Million Hearts: Rani Mukerji

I am sure she is the lady who rules the hearts of millions of people around the globe and i am also no exception. :) She was born on 21st March, 1978 in the film oriented prestigious Bengali Mukherjee family of Mumbai from where Kajol Devgn and Ayan Mukerji (director of Wake Up Sid) also hails. She is undoubtedly counted as one of the finest actresses of the Indian film Industry ever. And thats why she commands respect from the whole industry. She is still so much in demand after 15 long years in this industry.

She holds record at the Filmfare awards as the actress with the maximum number of awards to her name and also the only actress to have won the Critics and Popular choice award in the same year. She holds record at the IIFA as the only actress to have won the best actress awards consecutively three years. And above all awards, her films prove say it all, that she is a powerhouse of talent. She does wonders to even worsts of scripts.

She has an Indian figure and millions die for it. She is the muse of top designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra is always inpraise of her dressing and was even heard telling that he has seen no one carry a sari as beautifully as Rani does. And her bubbly nature has always caught the eyes of her audience. Her eyes have always been praised because they are gorgeous and they seem to express so much of Rani's inner self.

She is a non-plastic beauty and has grown very naturally which is very rare in the film industry nowadays. And her not so conventional beauty is comparable to any Hindu Goddess. She is graceful, elegant and her husky voice adds up to her image.

She started her career with a Bengali film 'Biyer Phool' but then her first hindi film was 'Raja ki Aayegi Baraat'. The film was a dud and she went back only to come back after graduation. She starred opposite Aamir Khan in 'Ghulam' and from then on she knew no stopping. No one else of her times has achieved the huge success that she has received. She went on to give us wonderful films like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hain', 'Hey Ram', 'Nayak', 'Calcutta Mail', 'Had Kar Di Aapne', 'Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega', 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke', 'Saathiya' , 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna', 'Veer-Zaara', 'Paheli', 'Chalte Chalte', 'Hum Tum', 'Bunty aur Babli', Black', 'The Rising', 'Baabul', 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' 'No One Killed Jessica' and many more. She has been the most powerful actress in the industry for a very long time. After 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' her career graph seemed to go down  and everyone started to write her off till she returned with a bang and proved everybody wrong with 'No One Killed Jessica'.

She has revived her career and has three big releases ahead - 'Talaash', 'Aiyya', 'Dhoom:3'. She is in talks with many other directors and producers and we will surely see more of her in the coming years. she may also get married soon if news are to be believed. This Bengali bombshell still has a long way ahead.

Wishing her all the luck on this 34th Birthday of her's.
God bless and love you!
