A grave concern - Reservations!

One of the biggest concern from the time of India's independence! This one decision of Ambedkar and Gandhi has caused numerous problems down the years. At first i do not want to comment because that would automatically come out till the end of this post. This topic came to my mind the very first day i opened this blog but i stayed away from it. However, looking around and feeling the pulse of the situation made me think that i should write.

Our Political parties always speak of equality of caste, creed, sex and what not. And i do not have any problem with that. Equality is something which we always need. But when we are giving great priority to some part of the society who are known as the SC, ST and OBC s. Actually these words have become a matter of joke now. We should always look after the backward parts of the society but does that mean that a SC student whose father is the CEO of a multinational company also get the benefits of the Aarakshan (Reservation)?? What kind of equality is that? Making the rich even richer??

Down the years many people from the backward classes of the society has got so much that its a damn fool's act if they are still given much more under Reservations act. Actually we have more percentage of Reservation than the actual ratio in which people from backward classes are present in India. and people who do not need it are taking the advantage whereas those who really need it do not get it in many situations. Why is not everyone seen under the same parameter?

At one point i feel that yes this reservation is needed for the needy people of the society but why the hell are the richer people getting this advantage? There are several instances where people of normal caste are getting backward class certificates through under table works. There has been several protests againt Reservation but the Government just seems not bothered at all. As the days are passing they are getting more and more percentage of Reservation and normal castes' share is decreasing day by day. Our Government can only play the game of election and to get more votes they can just do anything. Just anything! If whole India rises against this then only something can happen. Keep Reservation but not the way in which it is being carried out now! Seems like, we need to teach our Government how things should really be.
